1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
3 beaten egg yolks
1 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups coconut

Mix milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla over medium heat for about 12 minutes. remove from heat and add pecans and coconut and allow to cool until firm before applying to cake surface.
