1 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 large egg
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Whisk milk, butter and egg. Add dry ingredients and whisk til moistened. Do not overmix, some lumps are fine.

1 c brown sugar
1/4 c white sugar
1/2 c butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp flour
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped pecans(optional)*

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In large bowl beat eggs till foamy and stir in melted butter. Stir in sugars and flour, mix well. Last add milk, vanilla and nuts

Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes @400, reduce temp to 350 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes till done.

*can mix chopped pecans into pie or just place whole pecans on top, or do both. Depends on how nutty you want your pie.

1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tbsp smoked paprika
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp kosher salt

cook in a little olive oil on med-high heat till browned, about 5-7 min.

1/2 c flour
1/2 c panko bread crumbs
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
5 eggs
1/2 c milk
splash of hot sauce

combine liquids in one bowl and dry ingredients in another.

Dip in flour mixture, egg mixture and then flour mixture again. Put on foil, cover and put in freezer over night or for at least 30 minutes. Immediately deep fry.

4 1/4 c flour
1 3/4 c whole milk, warmed
3 tbsp butter
1 1/4 kosher salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp instant yeast
cornmeal for dusting

Heat the milk and butter until the milk has warmed and the butter melts.

Combine the milk and butter mixture with the egg and sifted dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. This can be done in a stand mixer or by hand.

Once dough comes together (it will be damp and velvety), transfer to a floured surface and roll out dough to a 1 inch thickness.

Using an English muffin ring or a large canning jar lid, cut out rounds and transfer to a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.

Dust tops of the muffins with cornmeal as well. Continue to cut out muffins, re-rolling dough when needed.

Cover muffins with a kitchen towel and allow them to rise for 30 minutes. Using a cast iron skillet on low heat, cook muffins about 3-5 minutes each side until brown and crisped.

Transfer muffins to a 170 degree oven for 12-15 minutes so they can continue to dry out.

Open muffins iwth a fork and toast before serving.

2 c macaroni
1/2 c sour cream
2 c whole milk
2 tsp onion powder
3 tbsp flour
1 tsp dried mustard
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 – 1 1/2 c sharp cheddar cheese
1 – 1 1/2 c pepper jack cheese

3 tbsp panko bread crumbs
3 tbsp parmesan cheese
3 tbsp melted butter or olive oil

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook macaroni, drain, put into 8 inch pan mix in sour cream and set aside.

In same sauce pan, stir milk, onion powder, flour, mustard, celery salt, cayenne and pepper with wire whisk till smooth. cook over med heat stirring constantly till boils and thickens. Remove from head and add cheese. Stir till melted.

Add cheese sauce to macaroni, mix well.

In small bowl, mix topping together and sprinkle on top.

Bake 20-25 min or till edges are bubbly.

1 Cup water
2 Tbsp melted butter
1 egg
3 1/2 cups bread flour
1/4-1/2 c sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp yeast

Proof yeast, sugar and water for 10 minutes then add to other ingredients.
Let rise 2 hours.
Shape into rolls and place in buttered pan. Let rise 2 more hours. Brush top with melted butter and bake 20-25 minutes @350 till golden brown. Brush with more butter when pulled from oven.

2 c cooked chicken, shredded

1 8oz package cream cheese

2 pkgs crescent rolls

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 325.

Boil chicken (or cook as you would like). Shred the chicken and add the cream cheese, mix till combined.

Pinch 2 crescent rolls together to make a square, place chicken mixture on one half of square and pull the other half of the roll over the chicken mixture and pinch shut.

Roll the pillow in the breadcrumb/parmesan cheese mixture. Repeat with all the rolls. Cook for 12-15 minutes @325

Very good when placed on a plate of rice with a gravy of cream of chicken soup.

2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
3 tbsp olive oil
1 3/4 – 2 cups warm water

Preheat oven to 450

proof yeast in warm water with sugar.

Combine flour and salt in mixer or large bowl. When the yeast is all bubbly pour it with the flour, add the olive oil and mix on low until combined. Add flour or water as needed until dough is smooth and slightly sticky. Let rise.

Divide dough into 4 pieces and place each into an oiled freezer bag. Put bags into fridge for 6-12 hours.
When ready to use dough, allow dough to rise again, punch down and stretch out into a 10 inch pizza and allow to rest for a few minutes.

Top as usual & bake @450 till crust is a crisp and cheese is melted.

I like to make 2 pizzas, 1 thing of cheesy bread and 1 thing of breadsticks.

1 1/2 c flour
1 c quick oats
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt, optional
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c milk
6 tbsp butter, melted
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 c chopped walnuts (optional)

In large bowl stir together flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, walnuts, and salt, set aside. In small mixing bowl, stir together eggs, milk, butter, and sugar. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, stir till blended. Pour by 1/4 cup.
Makes 12 waffles
